• Where is the store based?

  Winnipeg, Canada

• Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

  We do ship worldwide, however, if you are outside of Canada or The United States, please contact us prior to ordering to ensure we are able to accommodate you.

• How long will it take to receive my order?

  Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

  Shipping is provided through Canada Post regular service. If you need your product faster, please contact us for other arrangements and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

• What's the deal with your packaging?

  We currently are using 5 gram jars for our eyeshadow and primer.
  What does this mean to you? Simply put, the jars are filled by weight not volume; this means that the 5 grams jars only contain 1 to 2 grams of eyeshadow based on density of the minerals.

  Why do the misfits only come in bags? Don't they deserve jars too?!

  In order to be able to make these affordable for you and easy to ship to you, we send these in a sample size baggie, they have enough shadow in them to fill a jar. :)

• I'm local to Thunder Bay/Winnipeg, can I come and see your product somewhere?!

  Unfortunately at this time we do not have a physical store, however we are open to "meet ups" for local customers, please contact us to arrange a time!

  Thunder Bay customers - if you would like to receive your order quickly, you will have to pay regular shipping.

  However, if you would like to receive free shipping, please select the "local pick up" option. Thunder Bay orders will be shipped mid month to Laura who will then contact you for delivery/pick up. This method may take longer to receive your order. We're aiming for a 2 week window.

• When should I discard my makeup? Is there an expiry date?

  For our eyeshadow and glitter, we recommend using them no longer than 6 months. This also is dependent on how you apply your eyeshadow, how often your brushes are washed and if you've had any eye related incidents (i.e. pink eye, etc). that could transfer bacteria back and forth between your product and eye. If sealed and unopened however, our eyeshadow will last indefinitely.
  To make your eyeshadow or glitter last longer and stay relatively bacteria free, Firestarter Cosmetics recommends that you take out approximately how much you need, put it in the lid of the jar and apply it from there, without sticking your application brush directly in the makeup. From there, clean out the remaining colour from the lid and put it back on the jar after wards. This will add to the shelf life of your eyeshadow.
  After any eye related incidents, please discontinue use and re-order new product.

  For our lip products, we recommend using them no longer than 3 months. After any lip incidents please discontinue use and re-order new products.

• What are your hours of operation?

  We are always working hard to bring you the best handmade vegan cosmetics that we can! Although we have no set business hours, we are usually able to answer questions quickly. Please email us [email protected]

• What ingredients do you use?

  This is a complete list of our ingredients, per product. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us prior to ordering.
  
  All of our products are free of the following:

  Parabens, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Carmine and Cochineal Colorants, Superoxide Dismutase, Bismuth Oxychloride, Boron (Boron Nitride), Manganese Violet, Silicone, Chromium and Hydrated Chromium Oxide Green.
  Eye Shadow Ingredient List

  Not all shadows will contain all of the ingredients (listed below). Each color will have the ingredients listed on the jars.

  Glitter:
  Cosmetic Grade Glitter

  Lip Scrub:
  Cocos nucifera (coconut oil), Vegan Sugar, Flavour Oil, Avacado Oil

  Lip Balm:
  Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Candelilla Wax, Cocoa Butter, Flavour Oil, Stevia, Jojoba Oil and/or Vitamin E Oil

  Please note: our natural lip balm is unflavoured (this balm contains no stevia or flavour oil)

  Body Scrub:
  Cocos nucifera (coconut oil), epsom salt, grapeseed oil, flavour oil

• What are your other policies?

  Payment Methods:

  We accept the following: PayPal (Visa, Debit, Mastercard, etcetera.). In person we also accept Cash, Personal Cheque. ( All payment forms must clear before product is shipped or delivered).   As consumers ourselves, we know the value of privacy. We are committed to never selling, buying, trading or otherwise knowingly exchanging or giving our customer information away. Information collected is used solely for its intended purpose, such as contacting a customer about an order, responding to inquiries, and where acceptable contact regarding updates, changes and promotions to our company and website.

  Our Environmental Commitment:

  Firestarter Cosmetics is committed to reducing our environmental footprint. Many of our products contain certified organic ingredients, contain no animal by-products and are safe for external use. When possible, local ingredients are used to create our product. Our office space uses a small amount of electricity and water. When possible, we use 100% post consumer recycled materials, such as our current labels on our products. We are committed to the three R's (reduce, reuse, recycle) and follow this principle to the best of our ability. We are a local company and encourage local pick up/drop offs where possible. We suggest our customers that are not local, combine shipping where possible.

• How do I pay for my order? Is it secure?

  The Storenvy checkout process is powered by both Stripe and PayPal, two of the most trusted online payment solutions on the web. Because of this, Storenvy has all the same securities and payment fraud protection as these leading payment processors. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Diners Club. If paying with PayPal, you may also make payments using your bank account, but this may delay your order.
